This was a good way to end the day! Industry Nine hubs laced to Stans Notubes Flow rims!

There is something especially satisfying about building the same set of wheels you own (other than color) for a customer! White Industries T11 hubs paired with Velocity A23 rims is of my favorite do it all road/gravel/cross/commuter sets of wheels you can make. I have had this same combo for a couple years and have done everything from fast (to my standards) road rides to mountain biking and even some horribly slushy commutes that I was sure were going to give the hubs trouble but sure enough they still spin just as smooth as new. Now is the time to convert your fatbike to 29+! Dropping a few lbs of rotating weight and throwing on faster rolling tires will make your fatbike feel like a rocket ship!
Gorgeous set of Hope Fatsno hubs laced to Velocity USA Duallys out the door today! I am starting to wonder how long until I pass the 1,000 carbon fat wheel mark! Sweet set of Nextie 65mm rims laced to I9 hubs out the door today! I have a few more pretty exciting projects in the very near future too!
Seriously, don't... While it may have had its merits in the days of extremely flexy rims for the majority of modern components it really will not give you any noticeable gains. With that being said, I still will occasionally get bored and tie and solder some personal wheels.
This was a really fun build for a very cool bike! These will be going on a Calfee carbon fiber fat tandem for Will Muecke from Team CoreCo. Thanks again for letting me be a part of this amazing project!

Obsession, or passion? Who am I to judge? Either way I simply love building wheels for those who appreciate quality! Archives
